Ingredients: 1 grosse patate douce de 350g pelée, en dés; 500 ml (2 tasses) de lait; 45 ml (3 c.à soupe) de levure alimentaire en flocons; 125 g (env. 1/2 tasse) de fromage fondu tartinable; 200 g (2 tasses bien tassées) de cheddar fort orange, râpé; 200 g (2 tasses) de mozzarella râpé; 340 g (3/4 lb) de macaroni coudés; 1 oignon haché; 3 gousses d’ail, hachées; 45 ml (3 c.à soupe) de beurre; 125 ml (1/2 tasse) de Kimchi nappa régulier; Poivre du moulin ou sauce piquante

Pasta and cheese spiced up with our kimchi nappa which adds a little kick to this deliciously gourmet dish. New flavours are to be discovered with our Makimcheese!

Ingredients

1 large sweet potato (350g), peeled and diced
500 ml (2 cups) milk
45 ml (3 tablespoons) nutritional yeast flakes
125 g (approx. 1/2 cup) spreadable processed cheese
200 g (2 cups, well-packed) shredded strong orange cheddar cheese
200 g (2 cups) grated mozzarella
340 g (3/4 lb.) macaroni, angled
1 onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, chopped
45 ml (3 tablespoons) butter
125 ml (1/2 cup) regular Kimchi nappa
Ground pepper or hot sauce

Steps

Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F) and place rack in center of oven.
In a medium saucepan, soften onion and garlic in butter over medium heat for 5 minutes. Add potatoes, pour in milk, cover and cook for 15 minutes or until tender.
Transfer to a blender with the yeast and spreadable cheese and blend until very smooth. Pour into the pan and off the heat, add the cheeses and mix.
Meanwhile, in a pan of boiling salted water, cook the macaroni for only 5 minutes, drain and add to the cheese mixture. Mix and transfer to an ovenproof dish or 6 individual bowls.
Top with kimchi nappa and lightly press it into the macaroni and bake for 15 minutes

Note

Vary the cheeses and fillings!
